Tax software manager - new opportunity

Friday, 2 March 2012

I'm very interested to speak to tax advisers with either very good user or 'super-user' tax software experience, or with experience within a tax or accounting software company for the following opportunity:

Tax Software / Product Manager - UK South East
Salary dependent on level of experience | c. £45 - 55k range

Very well established business software company has created a great opportunity role, up to Manager level, for a tax and/or tax software specialist to join a product focused team. Reporting to a Director, key aspects of this role include performing market analysis for existing tax software solutions, devising new products or product enhancement in response to client needs, establishing a business case for new products, writing of tax software specifications and liaison with IT developers, guiding products to market and presenting to clients, and ensuring sufficient product support and training is provided. There is also a need to build and maintain customer relationships with end users. To meet the challenges of this position, you will either have some initial experience in the UK tax software industry or looking for a first step into the sector from a technical tax background. You will need good user experience on tax software, preferably acting as a 'super-user' within a tax department in practice. In addition, you will have an intrinsic interest in IT and computing, developed either professionally through work on Excel / Access type products or from a more academic IT background. This role requires both a strong relationship person, able to liaise effectively with a variety of stakeholders, and someone committed to improving and developing tax software. Excellent progression opportunities exist within this business in the future.

For more information or for a confidential discussion on this role, please either call Simon Godley on 0870 4605646 or contact us through the Talentpool Selection website.
