Great Opportunity - In House Tax Tech Manager

Friday, 12 October 2012

We are currently handling a very good in-house opportunity within a top tier professional services firm, based in their IT function.  This role will combine business analysis, requirement gathering, proposal plans for tax software and systems, and project management.  Very good career move from a tax software house or IT-Finance background.

In-House Tax Solutions Adviser
London | £50,000 - £62,000 + Bens

Our client is a leading professional services firm with a very strong brand name and global reach.
A new role has been devised for a senior Business Analyst to be based in their in-house tax technology team.  The team is based in London but has a European wide reach.  Reporting to a Head of Department, and with management responsibilities over other business analysts, the main purpose of the role is to analyse, assess and improve the use of tax technology and systems within a tax business.  This challenging role will work with many senior stakeholders, and will have a high visibility within the organisation.
Key areas of activity will include:

  • Analysing and assessing software and IT process applications within the business function – identifying problem areas, and planning a solution and needs of IT/software users
  • Managing a project lifecycle, and acting as key liaison between tax business and project team
  • Writing of system level requirements with use of Use Cases, UML or other requirement documentation methods.
  • Ensuring a change process is successful, and change management procedures are met

In terms of your background, you are possibly working in the tax software industry (either in the UK or in Europe),  in either a business analyst / developer role or within a client services implementations area, and now looking for a step up or across into a large international organisation.  Alternatively, you are based in a business facing corporate IT services team within a large organisation, and acting as a project or program manager on IT/systems enhancements.    In addition, you will have knowledge and experience around project management methodologies and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This is a challenging and progressive role within a global leader, and will be a great step for someone looking to develop further an IT Business career.
If you would like to discuss this opportunity further, please contact Simon Godley via the Talentpool website contact page.
