VAT software - great entry level role in London

Currently looking for good Maths / science / engineering / IT graduates with 1-2 years' professional experience in IT/software, preferably with some knowledge of the finance & accounting market, now looking to join a leading organisation in tax software.

VAT Software Consultant (entry level role into leading team)
London | £25,000 - £40,000 + Bens

Our client is a top tier organisation, and with a highly successful and market leading Tax-IT systems division, based in central London.

A client-facing analyst role has arisen to assist client organisations with the implementation and set-up of an Indirect Taxes / VAT compliance solution.  The role will involve working with ERP and other IT applications within the finance environment of the client, and so strong MS Excel / Access / SQL knowledge and skills will be sought.

Key responsibilities of the role involve:
  • Client requirement gathering and documenting
  • Drafting proposal plans and client specs
  • Working on full end-to-end implementations process of software, involving configurations and testing, and training of end users
  • Providing post-implementations support to users
You will be a graduate with a 2:1 degree of higher, preferably in a science / IT / computer science subject.  You will have started professional experience over the last 1-3 years, either working in an IT/software or ERP environment learning an implementations process, or working in a tax/VAT compliance role involving a high degree of IT systems / use of software or Excel.  Any exposure to VAT within the SAP/ERP environment or on tax engines would be highly beneficial.

You will also have gained client communication experience, be able to work effectively in a team, and have a methodical and pragmatic approach to problem solving with a high attention to detail.

This is an entry level role into a specialist software team where you will develop both technical and business skills, and those that work consistently well with clients and deliver value to clients will be rewarded with strong career progression.
