Tax Assistant - career move to tax software development

Tax Assistant or Tax Trainee - if interested in IT, here is an excellent option to switch into tax software development with a leading technology business:
Our client is a leading business software company with a leading position in the field of commercial tax software.  Their software is used extensively by mid to large end multinational groups.

Their software development team is now looking to hire at the trainee / analyst level.  The main focus of this role will be to perform functional testing of direct tax software, and to design and roll out test / Quality Assurance plans.
Key scope of the role includes:
• Gathering, analysing and document business requirements and processes with an understanding of the end user needs and usage
• Develop subject matter expertise that will enhance the requirements and quality phases of product
• Lead the software quality assurance phase (QA & UAT)
• Based on agreed upon scope, develop and execute high quality testing scripts that fully exercise all functionality
• Create bug reports, execute and track testing assignments.
• Report back to stakeholders on regular basis
• Quickly absorb complicated technological content in a fast paced environment.

In terms of matching with this role’s requirements, you will be a graduate, preferably in a Maths / Science / Computer Science subject.  You may have started in a tax career, training towards CTA or ACA with an accounting firm, now looking to use your IT knowledge more extensively. You may have been a tax software ‘super-user’ within a tax role, now wishing to take a further step to specialise in tax technology.
In addition, you will be well motivated, professional approach, organised and with high attention to detail. This role is ideal for a trainee Tax Assistant, not tied into a training contract, and now wishing to start a new career in the tax technology field with a first class organisation.
