Private Client Tax Director - Advisory business, London

Tuesday, 26 May 2015

Central London; £90,000 - £130,000 + Bens

Exciting new role has emerged within a London based advisory firm.  This is NOT a Big Four firm or accountancy practice – this role is with a more niche player advising HNW individuals on their private and business tax affairs.
Working within an established tax team, this is a broader leadership role for private client tax services – as well as dealing with hands-on client tax issues, you will also be responsible for the successful running of the team in terms of people management and client servicing.
Key aspects of the role include:
  • Providing detailed tax solutions to private clients (typically non-dom status) for their complex tax affairs
  • Regular meetings (on and off-site) with clients, involvement with client presentations and pitches
  • Responsible for growing the private client base, including internal cross-referral of clients to other part of the practice
  • Staff management and motivation, appraising team members
In terms of your background, you will be a well established adviser in the private client tax space – preferably qualified (ACA / CTA) with minimum 8 years’ PQE in personal and private client tax.  You will have had budget responsibility in your current or previous role, and the ability to manage and motivate staff in your team. In addition, you will have strong commercial client interaction skills, able to discuss both tax technical and wider business issues with clients.
If you are currently operating as a Senior Manager / Director in private client tax, either with a large or smaller firm, or within private banking, and looking for a role with more autonomy and scope to develop a practice in a niche field, we would be keen to talk with you.
