Position: Senior Tax Technology Consultant - Netherlands
Salary guide: Up to Euro 130k + Benefits
Our client is a rapidly growing international tax compliance software business with very innovative tax solutions for multinational clients.  Due to success in other countries, they are now looking at hiring and developing a team in the Netherlands market.
A new role has been developed, seeking a senior level leadership candidate that can take on a key tax product focused role in the Benelux & Nordic market.  The purpose of the role is to act as a key resource supporting the sales and BD teams, and being the client-facing tax software product specialist.
Key responsibility areas of this role will be:
  • Meeting and presenting to prospective clients, demonstrating the key benefits and positioning of the tax compliance solution
  • Working closely with clients and IT consultants on implementing and bespoking the product to client requirements, acting as a solution consultant to the client
  • Being seen as an ambassador for the product, and attending other marketing seminars with clients and other channel partners
Your background:
To match with the needs of this role, a combination of the following background and skill areas is desirable:
  • Accounting, corporate tax or indirect tax background and training – highly desirable from a Big 4 / consulting environment
  • Operating at Senior Manager or Director level within a Big 4 firm and/or an experienced Tax Manager with a multinational in-house tax team
  • Experience in implementing tax software systems (i.e. installation/training) and preferably corporate or indirect tax systems – this is highly desirable but not essential
  • University graduate
  • Genuine interest in technology and how tax technology can greatly enhance finance performance
  • Ability to deal with issues under a high pressure environment;
  • Enjoys working in a small team environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English; knowledge of at least one other foreign language;
  • Demonstrated experience of building collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Ability to troubleshoot and offer alternatives to deliver the most effective solutions for clients;
  • Likes self-learning and is a self-starter;
  • Works collaboratively and develops strong cross-functional relationships;
  • Strong hunger for success, a spirit of exploration and a sense of fun
